Jessica-ChastainOn Thursday night, January 15 Jessica Chastain was conferred with the MVP Award at the 2015 Critics’ Choice Awards. It appeared that she had lot to say when she was invited to collect the award and say few words.
The crimson-haired ‘A Most Violent Year’ starlet talked about the 2015 Oscar nominations emphasizing that there were no color people in them.
She said, “Today is Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. So, it got me thinking about our need to build the strength of diversity in our industry.”
She asked the audience present at the Hollywood Palladium, “to stand together against homophobic, sexist, misogynistic, anti-Semitic, and racist agendas.”
She added, “I can’t help but feel hopeful about the future of film — especially looking at all these beautiful people in this room.
