Viola Davis Recalls her Days when She had no Food

Viola-DavisViola Davis has been nominated for the Oscars two times. She had a wonderful career but not always everything remain good. Talking to the Glamour magazine, the ‘Help’ actress told that during her childhood she often had to stay hungry, “We had no food. It was like, If you don’t eat it now, it’ll be gone, and you’re going to be hungry for the next—Lord, who knows how long.”
She added, “I was always so hungry and ashamed, I couldn’t tap into my potential. I couldn’t get at the business of being me.” Because of what she faced she laid the foundation of a charity named Hunger Is and till now she had managed to raise $4.5 million. She said, “This is the richest country in the world. There’s no reason kids should be going to school hungry. Food is something that everyone should have. It just is.”


Lady Gaga’s Thrilling Performance at 87th Annual Academy Awards


On Sunday night, February 22 the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood witnessed the thrilling performance of Lady Gaga at the 87th Annual Academy Awards.
The 28-year-old pop diva gave the celebrity studded audience a melodious treat. After her performance, the 50-year-old classic film’s lead actress, Julie Andrews, surprised everyone by appearing on the stage.
Gaga was very excited to perform at the Oscars and some day before her performance she tweeted, “Headed to #Oscars rehearsal! I’ve got goosebumps already ☺️ What an honor to perform for the world and such an immensely talented audience!”
Sharing their thoughts, producers of the award function Craig Zadan and Neil Meron proudly said, “Lady Gaga is a once in a lifetime artist who’s musical evolution keeps growing. We are proud to have her perform on the Oscars for the very first time.”

Health Department Made a Check at the Dolby Theatres

Dolby-TheatresOscars producers can now take a sigh of relief because the Health Department have okayed the Dolby Theatre and declared it free from all types of harmful things and now the theatre is ready for the Sunday function.
We found a video in which the Oscar house’s storage areas and many other places were covered with dead cockroaches, bugs, garbage and other such dirty thing.
Health Department Manager Charlene Contreras said to TMZ that they have sent two inspectors to the theatre on Thursday afternoon. They did this after the uploading of the video. She said that they found no cockroaches or flies at the area. She added that the insects in the video might have invaded the unused areas. So, luckily the celebrities need not to worry about the critters as they are already evaded.

Anna has many times given live performances in the past and she was also nominated for Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for ‘High Society’ when she was just twelve years old. After this she is nominated for her performance in the film ‘Up in the Air’ in 2009 Oscars. Her acknowledged projects include “Pitch Perfect,” “Into the Woods,” and the “Twilight Saga” franchise.

The ‘American Idol’ hottie revealed the news on Twitter. She wrote, “I’m excited to announce that @TheAcademy has invited me to perform on the #Oscars on Feb. 22nd!”
Jennifer Hudson will be joined at the function by celebrities like Adam Levine, John Legend, Common, Rita Ora, Tegan and Sara, The Lonely Island, Anna Kendrick, Jack Black and Tim McGraw.

How Neil Patrick Harris Landed the Job as Host of the 2015 Oscar?

Untitled-4The “Gone Girl” hunk Neil Patrick Harris  who is confident in his abilities as an entertainer gets a case of the nerves from time to time.
While chatting in an interview he discussed the way he landed the job as host of the 2015 Academy Awards.
Harris explained, “[It] happened very randomly, at the end of last week — [that it] was maybe a possibility and to sort of think about it over the weekend and see what happens.”
He further added, “And then we [got the] call yesterday. The Oscars is such a gigantic shows that I was interested to know how my involvement would play out.”
He also said, “It seems like with that many eyes and that big of a show there are a lot of people that have to say ‘yes’ before something gets approved. And as it turns out, that’s not really the case.”
Neil noted as for his plan that, “I don’t want them to be super derivative of other shows I’ve done. I don’t want it to seem like I’m doing the same hosting gig as the Tonys.”
